Suspect shot by deputies in Bulls Gap listed in critical condition

BULLS GAP — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was at the scene of an officer-involved shooting that took place at around 11 p.m. Sunday night in the woods behind the Bulls Gap VFW.

Hawkins County Sheriff Ronnie Lawson confirmed for the Times News that Hawkins and Greene county deputies were involved in the shooting and that a suspect was shot four times.

Lawson said the suspect was listed in critical condition.

The TBI is investigating, and no other information is available at this time.
